Notice is hereby given to all Account Holders that the Municipality will once again embark on a special three-month concession period for all accounts that have not benefitted from any concession scheme in the past three years. All Government accounts are excluded from the concession scheme.
The special concession for all accounts will be calculated as follows:
On receipt of a lump sum payment as per the calculation done by the Local Credit Controller 50% of arrears 90 days and older will be written off. The payment must be reflected in the bank account of Setsoto Local Municipal at the latest on 31/05/2024.
The 3-month validity period:
1 March to 31 May 2024

Notice is hereby given that the objection period for new Valuation Roll 2023 to 2027 of Setsoto Local Municipality will close on 31st March 2023 as per the notice that appeared in the Provincial Gazette. Please take note of the cut-off times:
Cashier payments:
All Cashier pay-points at the offices of Ficksburg, Clocolan, Marquard and Senekal will close at 15h30 on 31/03/2023. No receipts for objection fees will be issued after 15h30. All documents with receipts must be handed in at the local Customer Care office and the register must be completed.
EFT payments:
All EFT payments (electronic bank transfers) must have a time stamp not later than 23h59 on 31/03/2023. The reference on the EFT payments must be:
OBJ – account number [account number linked to the erf]
All documentation must be submitted via e-mail to valuations@setsoto.co.za and must be received before 23h59 on 31/03/2023.

INTERRUPTION OF ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.
All businesses and residents of Ficksburg/Caledon Park and Meqheleng are hereby notified that there will be an interruption of electricity supply as per below schedule. The interruption is necessary for the switching to be done at Ficksburg Substation.
The interruption will take place as follows: Date: 05 May 2022
Time: 08h00 — 15h00
During the entire time of interruption, the Municipality will not be able to pump water
and this may result in a shortage of water.
N.B: The residents are therefore warned that all lines must be considered as LIVE and DANGEROUS during entire time.

Notice is hereby given to all famers and businesses that the Municipality will once again embark on a special three month concession period for businesses and farmers, as the two groups are excluded from the normal concession scheme.
The special concession for farmers and businesses will be calculated as follows: Where 70% of the arrears 60 days and older plus current plus 30 days are paid as a lump sum and 30% of arrears 60 days and older will be written off. The payment must reflect in the Setsoto Local Municipal bank account at the latest on 29/07/2022.
The 3-month validity period: 29 April 2022 to 29 July 2022
