The Municipality would like to bring to the attention of all residents that currently the Municipality is experiencing high rate of theft of copper lines in the residential area of Ficksburg.
It has come to our attention that there are people stealing the earth wires of the open Low Voltage lines. This action has resulted in numerous innocent people being electrocuted and therefore becoming victims of this perilous action.
The community at large is therefore requested to report any suspicious activity especially on any power lines as soon as possible to your nearest police station so that quick action can be taken towards bringing those responsible for this uncalled behaviour to justice.
