SALARY : R 583 612.29 per Annum (PL 1)
REQUIREMENTS: National Diploma in Finance or B-Com degree with financial accounting as a major subject. The candidate must have at least 8 years or more relevant working experience covering all aspects of the relevant financial process and the Management of financial information or having gained specialist experience in a finance discipline. Candidate must be in possession of valid South African driver’s license preferably Code B.
COMPETENCIES: Candidate must demonstrate high level of communication, interpersonal, problem solving, report writing skills and must be computer literate.
DUTIES: Plan, manage, organise and control the continuous provision of Payroll Management Services. Develop, co-ordinate and supervise personnel to promote productivity, and to achieve the goals of the division. Oversee the management of the Payroll Annual budget process to ensure sound financial practices that are in line with the budgetary requirements. Responsible for providing expert financial advice. Responsible for managing financial information accordingly to prescribed norms and standards. Supervise and manage the team responsible for financial information. Extensive understanding and knowledge of the application applicable to local government legislation (MSA, MFMA) and others as applicable. Coordinates and aligns financial system applications (SAGE VIP/ Pay Day HR/ Payroll software system super user / or system administration.
