Notice is hereby given in terms of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Ac, No 32 of 2000, as amended, and the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, No 56 of 2003, as amended, that the adopted Draft Integrated Development Plan 2024/2025 and draft Medium-Term Revenue and Expenditure Framework 2024/2025 to 2026/2027 of the Setsoto Local Municipality are now due for community engagements.
The draft documents, their summaries and annexures were adopted at the council meeting held on the 26 March 2024 and copies are available for the period of 21 days for public comments from 04 April 2024 until 03 May 2024 on the Setsoto Local Municipality’s website, www.setsoto.gov.za as well as the municipal offices and libraries in all towns of the municipality. Communities are hereby requested to submit written submission on the adopted draft Integrated Development Plan 2024/2025 and adopted draft Medium-Term Revenue and Expenditure Framework 2024/2025 to 2026/2027 by no later than the 3rd May 2024.
Furthermore, the Executive Mayor, Mayoral Committee Members, Councillors and Senior Managers will be engaging communities on the draft Integrated Development Plan 2024/2025 and the draft Medium-Term Revenue and Expenditure Framework 2024/2025 to 2026/2027 on the following dates:

Notice is hereby given to all Account Holders that the Municipality will once again embark on a special three-month concession period for all accounts that have not benefitted from any concession scheme in the past three years. All Government accounts are excluded from the concession scheme.
The special concession for all accounts will be calculated as follows:
On receipt of a lump sum payment as per the calculation done by the Local Credit Controller 50% of arrears 90 days and older will be written off. The payment must be reflected in the bank account of Setsoto Local Municipal at the latest on 31/05/2024.
The 3-month validity period:
1 March to 31 May 2024

Approval of the Adjustment Budget 2023/2024 as well as the revised Service Delivery and Budget Implementation Plan 2023/2024
Notice is hereby given in terms of Sections 28 and 54 of Local Government Municipal Finance Management Act, 56 of 2003, that a Council revised the approved Service Delivery 2023/2024 on the 28 February 2024 as per Council Resolution 4/2, the revision was done by Council after the approval of the Adjustment Budget as per resolution 3/2 of the Council Meeting held on 28 February 2024.

The office of LED at Setsoto local municipality invites all women owned businesses within the municipality to come and register their businesses on our DATABASE. The purpose of this exercise is to ensure that women-owned businesses are assisted (with cooperation from Office of Executive Mayor) and advanced to position themselves to access Tenders of municipal work including Capital Projects.
